Sunny 2BR Summer Sublet on College Hill

We are subletting our charming, sunny, two-bedroom apartment on College Hill from June 1 to August 15. (The start and end dates are somewhat flexible—you could start subletting in late May and leave a bit later in August.) We have a strong preference... for long-term sublets, i.e. for two months at a time or a little more.

The apartment occupies the entire ground floor of a three-story house. It is composed of a small entryway, a parlor room, a living room, a dining room, a large kitchen, a large bedroom with ensuite bathroom, and a small bedroom. It is ideal for a couple. The landlords live upstairs, and you will share a lovely backyard with them.

The apartment gets plenty of light as every room has multiple windows. Except for the bedrooms and bathroom, all rooms overlook either the street or the backyard. There are no buildings directly opposite to the house on the side overlooking the street: we are directly across from the Hope High School Park.

Our kitchen is very well stocked, if you like to cook, and has all the standard appliances (oven range, dishwasher, refrigerator, microwave, electric kettle, toaster). We do not own a TV, but do have a projector and pull-up screen. We own many plants, and you would be in charge of watering them. There is plenty of storage for clothes in both bedrooms. We will make space for your belongings depending on your needs. A washer and dryer are in the house’s basement, and are, of course, free to use.

There are 4 ductless mini-splits in the apartment, which will allow you to keep the space as cool as you’d like. One in each bedroom, one in the kitchen, and one in the parlor room.
If you have a car, the house has a driveway, shared with the landlords, and you can simply park there.

The apartment is a 10 minutes walk from Brown University, and a 12 minutes walk from Whole Foods Market.

It goes without saying, but we are looking for (very) serious, considerate people, who will take excellent care of the apartment.

All candidates will have to interview with us, and with our landlords. They will have to fill out an information sheet about themselves and their occupation. Recommendations from previous landlords might be required.

The rent is $3,100/month. Utilities, except for water and sewage, are not included in the rent. Internet comes to around $85/month. Gas and electricity will be charged based on your consumption.

Subletter(s) will sign a contract with us, which will submit them to all the provisions of our lease. They will be required to provide a security deposit.

Pets are not allowed. This is non-negotiable.

If you have any questions, or are interested, please do reach out. This is a wonderful apartment in an equally wonderful neighborhood, and a perfect place to enjoy a Rhode Island summer.
